Beginner's Guide

Welcome to Roll to Defend! Your main goal is to survive endless waves of enemies by placing towers (Units). The twist? You get units by rolling for them (RNG), similar to a gacha system.

1. Auto-roll is your best friend

Don't click manually! Look for the "Auto-roll" button at the bottom center of your screen. Turn it on, and set your "Auto-delete" settings to automatically trash Common and Rare units once you have a full deck of Epics or better. This saves you from constantly managing inventory.

2. Placement Matters

Place units with high range (like Snipers or Wizards) on corners or U-turns where they can attack enemies for the longest amount of time. Place high-DPS short-range units (like Ninjas) on straight paths.

Rebirth & Brains Guide

When you reach Wave 50, you unlock the ability to Prestige (Rebirth). This resets your Coins, Zones, and current wave, but rewards you with a premium currency called Brains.

Pro Tip: Don't rebirth immediately at Wave 50! The amount of Brains you get scales exponentially. Pushing to Wave 100 will give you 5x more Brains than rebirthing twice at Wave 50.

What to spend Brains on?

  • Luck Multiplier: ALWAYS max this out first. It permanently increases your chances of rolling Mythic units.
  • Starting Coins: Very useful for speeding up the early waves after a rebirth.
  • Max Unit Capacity: Allows you to place more units on the map simultaneously.

Luck Boost Strategy

Rolling a 1-in-500,000 Mythic unit seems impossible, but you can stack luck multipliers to make it much easier. You should aim to stack as many free and paid boosts as possible before doing a long auto-roll session.

Free Luck Boosts

  • Join Official Roblox Group (+10%)
  • Play with Friends (+5% per friend)
  • Weekend Event Buff (usually +50%)

Item & Upgrade Boosts

  • Luck Potion (+100% for 15 mins)
  • Stellar Potion (+300% for 5 mins)
  • Brains Tech Tree (Up to +200% permanent)

AFK / Offline Farming

To farm Coins and rolls overnight, you need a stable setup to avoid dying early or disconnecting.

  1. Download a reliable Auto-clicker to prevent Roblox from kicking you for 20-minute inactivity (set it to click anywhere on the screen every 5-10 minutes).
  2. Equip at least 2 AoE (Area of Effect) units, like Wizards or Chefs.
  3. Place your units right at the enemy spawn point to minimize wave completion time.
  4. Set your Auto-roll to delete anything below Legendary so your inventory doesn't fill up with garbage.
